Can I edit or Create Materials?

Is it possible to edit, add or download Materials?

I'll like to expand the Materials Library (specialy wood textures) does any one a way to modify or create those *lxp file types?

No one else has this question

Right now no. You can sneak around it by finding a wood that has the reflective and bump properties you like (say a polished maple) - then go in and switch out the images with the ones you like..copy over the texture file with the same name but different image....then switch them back). But this would be an extreme case and I don't think you should do it unless you REALLY need a texture that's not there.

This is definitely something we would like to address.

    Something I have noticed is that when you apply a material to a part/assembly on some faces the texture is stretched and you get lines. Is there a way to control the mapping like in PW?
    
    Or is this something you have to select on a face by face basis to get that effect?
    
    We powder coat our products a speckled grey, and if/when we have the ability to add custom material finishes it would be nice to control the direction it is appled.

      Inside of PV360 you can't control the mapping except for the scale. The intended workflow for this is apply your material in RealView (inside of SW) and use the RV controls to adjust the mapping of the material. The issue with this method is, the RV mapping controls are limited and they don't always translate correctly into PV360.
      
      I'd say yes selecting on a part by part basis will help.
