I have made the core and cavity many times with a single LEGO, but with both the core/cavity can't make because appears the message "cannot knit sheets together mold".
Thank for your attention.
My SW version is 2013
Oscar,.. I don't have 2013 installed.. so, I opened in 2014 and I can get a Tooling Split using your Croquis2 sketch without error.
But... one obvious issue is, your Core/Cavity are not correct, they should be the opposite,.. you can drag/drop each into the other core/cavity folders.
Anyway, maybe someone with 2013 can help respond or see the knit error?
I wonder if 2013 is having the error because of the fact that the Core surface body is in the Cavity folder, and the Cavity surface body is in the Core folder. I'm running 2016 and it does the split just fine...it splits and creates two solid bodies that have interfering volumes.
Hello Doug.. yeah,.. it kind of makes sense a earlier versions code could have depended on the folders to access the surfaces for what is in/out when assigning the surfaces for knitting but it's somehow confused with sides?....or its just a rounding error using 2013 knit?
@Paul Salvador, I realized it at the few time that I wrote the question, and the solution was very simple. Change the surfaces (because were in a wrong Folder), move it and make the Core/ Cavity and after that, the mold was right.
Thanks for your support.
