I install my SolidWorks education 2 weeks ago and now I formatted my computer I would like to reinstall it but I cannot install it. It says that look at the installation diary. I send you in the attachment. How can I install it?
did you deactivate the license before formatting the harddrive?
Too bad ... I think you need to contact your VAR or school to activate your lic so you can re-install again
It is very interesting that when I try it third time, I could instal it without no problem. I don't know what but now it is fixed.
But I bought it individually by my own as a student. What should I do now?
The only error code I see in your logs is Error Code 1620. This is a pretty general failure of your install as nothing else specifically gets listed in the log. The only information I am finding on this leads to having residual information on the system from previous installs but this would have been wiped out with a format. Did you do a full format of your machine or did you overwrite your old OS install with a new OS install?
I did a full format and forgot to deactivate the Solidworks.
What should I do now?
From the logs it looks like you are trying to install 2016 SP2.0. Since the error in the logs has no detail the first thing you would want to try is get a 2016 SP5.0 download from your school to use instead of this disc. I'm hoping that this helps the software just install.
Now, for your license, if you formatted the machine and put it right back to the way it was (same hardware, same OS, same everything) the license may just turn back on. If you get it installed the software does not authenticate successfully you would need to get a new serial number from your instructor to use instead of this one.
First of all i would like to know what is your operating system and build. Remove the file you uploaded.
I have tried it again and I could install it successfully.
Although I solve the problem successfully, I have a problem while installing it. When I install the SolidWorks, I got the error "sldim exe has stopped working". How can I fix it.
