Hi,
I need a little help. I'm trying to make core and cavity from a model. Parting line and parting surface seems ok. I can't cope with Tooling split command. Which surfaces should I mark to core and cavity..... or did I miss something before?
Thx.

Thank you for the information but I need more advice. You are right about the angles but doesn't matter now. This is just a training model and not for manufacturing.
I still can't cope with the parting surface. I tried to make a planer surface mentioned above but I'm not so experienced in making this...
( imperfect knowledge )
So, I need more advice.
Thanks is advance.
Parting Surface2 created overlapping surfaces. You'll never get a split to work when you have overlapping surfaces. Trim & Knit up your outer parting line surfaces into a single quilt. The Parting Surface tool creates really terrible parting surfaces when the parting surface is simply flat. I would delete all the garbage it created (only keeping the "saddle shut-offs") and then make a planer surface for the flat part of the PL.
On a side note:
Parting line "jumps" (vertical sections of the parting line) should have, at bare minimum, 3 degrees draft in line of draw...5 degrees is preferred. Angles of less than 3 degrees per side are "self-locking" angles, and are a very bad thing to have on a mold parting line.
