I am following an e-book. E-book is explaining about using Replace Entity. A cylinder is extruded up to the inclined flat surface of the main structure. After that flat surface is converted into arc like surface, according to e-book final result will end up with an error message and Replace Entity will be used to repair it.
In my sketch error message is not coming. Extruded cylinder surface is also converted into curved surface.
What is the reason?

Your arc is smaller than the example and from looking at your side view sketch, it looks like if Replace Face were to try and replace the target face, it would drastically change the topology of the model. (if you experiment with increasing the radius of your arc, you'll see a point where it will work.) This is how you can predict whether Replace Face will work or not; it usually works if it can alter the geometry of your model without changing the topology.
