Have you installed this previously?
Why are you installing using the .msi file?
What version of SWX is this for? Year and is it full version (standard, Pro, Premium) or educational or EV (Educational or full version)?
What operating system are you using?
Have you downloaded ALL the support files / folders (it's about 650meg of files)?
The .MSI will only work if all the files are available.
The normal method is to use the Installer program.
The msi can sometimes be used to Reinstall the program but will not install all the pre-requisite programs.
hi sorry for the delay i'm geting the msj wend i'm installing the solid works 3dexperience and that the msj solidworks.msi not installing is from the dvd disk that i;m installing
and i'm geting this msj to is data error cyclic redundancy check please advise
The machine is having an issue reading the disc. It could be a scratched disc or the drive itself. In either case you would need to first do a full download of the installation files and install from that instead (no longer use the disc at all). Your best next step is to go here (Downloads | SOLIDWORKS) to obtain the installation manager for the version you want. Once you extract that pick the option for "Download and Share all files" (shown below) to obtain a full installation file set to install from.
