Are we able to export as a 360 image for VR set ups? Is this possible? I would love to be able to send clients products to there VR gear.
Great minds think alike
We showed our POC (Proof of Concept) for this exact workflow at SOLIDWORKS World last month, and it was very well received. We showed how easy it can be going from Visualize to any VR device (HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, Google Daydream, and even a $15 Google Cardboard!)
We have this feature request squarely in our sights and are pushing to deliver it "soon." I cannot comment on exact public availability yet.
Great, thank you!
Will the application be available in SolidWorks 2018?Otherwise, what is the best app for viewing a SolidWorks Assembly with HTC Vive?
could give this a look
Looks good, thank you!
Would SOLIDWORKS Visualize | SOLIDWORKS help with what you are trying to do?
I have process my drawing throw SolidWorks Visualize. I can see it on my screen, but I have no clue on what app I should used on HTC Vive to go around it and see it in 3D. What is the best app tested by SolidWorks to see it ?

After that, i'*ve used the free service vrEmbed Creation Tool to create a stereoscopic view.
And now i'm able to deliver just the url to our prospects vrEmbed so that they are able to view this in any browser and also on their smartphone, maybe using a google cardboard.
So - if you want to start right now - there is no need to wait any longer on a XR export feature just for viewing...
P.S. "Great minds think alike"
