This is YouTube video. I assume that inscribed letter depth is 0.10 mm according to drawing. But in the model inscribed letter depth is 0.50 mm. I wish to know whether this is mistake or has some other purpose. Part file is attached.
I would assume its just to show on the part since .1 mm wouldn't show well.
I agree with Tony. The depth vary depending on the process used. for us we use the minimal because we laser mark 99% our parts and it's called out on the dwgs. No data used from the models.
the depth is much deeper on parts used for 3D printing, but added in a different configuration.
YES, please don't place data on the models. People just don't understand how much extra time it takes to see this in an assembly.

the machine shop will use the 2D dwg to machine this part. If the call out is .1mm, then it's 0.1mm
you'd better ask the author of the video clip for the purpose if you suspect something
