Expecting number of wires to be added as 2 or more instead of 1. typical process is addition of wires depending on requirement,
If you were to T off of L2-1 to an additional component you should see the "Number Of Wires" increase to 2. If you want a line to represent multiple wires you will need to use a one-line diagram and the line will represent a cable containing multiple conductors.
On a different note, I would suggest using "Mixed Scheme" for all drawings to allow generation of schematics and one-lines on the same page.
After creating a mixed scheme, and adding symbols from schematics, adding cables, i am unable to create detailed cabling option. it shows connect symbols to the cable to initiate detailed cabling.. Please guide.
Though you are working on mixed scheme, the basic thumb rules of line diagram and schematic diagram can't be overwritten. Even in mixed scheme, the detailed cabling is allowed only if the cable is connected to line diagram symbols and not to schematic symbols. Similarly, wire can be connected only to schematic symbols and not to line diagram symbols.
Cable connected to schematic symbols and wire connected to line diagram symbols will not have any identity as such. Only graphical representation can be done.
Hope this helps..
Thanks, That means, i have to use multiple wires for the purpose of same origin terminal to same destination terminal. OR may be outlined symbols to associate cables to terminals..
Exactly, Richie. "Multi-wire Symbols" for wire connections and "Line Diagram Symbols" for cables.
I'm still waiting for the day when SolidWorks Electrical has Fan-In and Fan-Out cable representations.
