Hello,
How can I update the keys inside the timeline?
Thanks
Hi Alex,
i did not understand your question. Please explain more
There is a way to update all geometry actors. In this case the keys will work with the updated geometry.
But which keys in which Situation has to be updated?
Hello Dirk,
I created an animation using the drag and drop method of the views I created, and now I changed couple of things on those views and updated them, but the time line still uses the old images, is there anyway that they get updated as well without redoing them?
I hope it make sense,
Thank you
You will have to drag and drop your new views onto the timeline where your old views were. I would only recommend using drag and drop views for the simplest of animations. It is much easier to update when the keys are set per part / assembly / selection set etc and not per view. Also make sure you are in animation mode when creating or updating your views.
Cheers,
Derek
Hi Alex,
now i understand. But i cannot help you. There is no possibility to automatic update those keys from views.
Animation and views are indepent!
Here a Link to another thread with an answer from Derek Can't delete keys from timeline
For your understanding here some Infos to this procedure:
A view is a scene and each property of each actor will be stored. If you use an assembly with 1000 geometric parts i think you get around 30-40.000 Infos. Ok this is not absolute correct but it is to describe the work of the composer.
If you now use a view for Animation, you will create this number of keys! Create 30 views and you get around 1 mio keys in timeline.
This drives the composer down very quickly.
i recommend to work other way round. create an Animation and then use this to convey it to views.
