Designing a plastic part : good practices

When desiging a plastic casing which will be injected in a mold, what are good design practices ? Should I for instance incorporate in the early conception stages the draft angles or should I add them at the end ? Same question for the radius. Initially, I was putting some directly in sketches but has since then realised it's a lot faster and offer more degree of freedoms to add them at the end of the construction tree with the fillet function.

So how do you proceed when you design such a part ? I'm asking because I'm currently designing my first plastic part which will be injected and feels it's important to build the model in the right order to avoid function errors.

Thanks in advance for your tips.
