I have a part in a sub-assembly that I deleted in windows explorer once but have since replaced and moved to a new location as I have done many times before. Every time I have opened the top level assembly which contains the sub-assembly a window pops up to find the "missing" part. I will go to the new location, highlight the part then click on open and everything opens fine. I will save the top level, and even open the sub-assembly to save it as well. No matter how I try to replace the part file I cannot get the new replacement part to "stick" in either the sub-assembly or the top level. If I go into SW Explorer and look at the part where used, it only shows the drawing, not the assemblies.Currently on 2017 SP2. Had the same problem in SP1 though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
