I am new to Solidworks and my instructor is not a very patient and helpful guy. I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me figure out how to sketch these two parts? Thanks in advance!
May I ask, exactly what problem are you facing while sketching ?
I am having trouble with the basic outline of each part. Try as I have, I just cannot seem to get these correct.
..here's a starting sketch for each,.. now go do your homework.
Having a quick look, isn't most of the information that you need (if not all) there for you to do the sketch's? Where are you stuck exactly?
Yes, it should be. That is the frustrating part of this all. I am stuck trying to get the basic outline to turn out correctly. If I could get that, the rest would be no problem.
Start with what you have labelled as "prob1" and upload what you have achieved so far and maybe we can guide you.
Upload what you've managed to add to the start of "Prob1" that Paul kindly gave you and explain where you are stuck and we'll see if we can guide you through the next step.
We don't mind helping those that help themselves, but nobody here is just going to do the whole thing for you even though it is very simple.
Somewhere between - Needing to do it and Wanting to do it and Just doing it and Someone doing if for him and a Deadline of needing to be done
(virtual hand out)... quid pro quo?.. geez, can't even get a bitcoin or a starbucks giftcard nowadays....

if only we had an audio/video reference made for us
without gogling and asking 'auld Jeeves-
maybe something like.......
and it would display on a ninetendo
I bet SolidWorks Wifi would do the trick...

wifi- kool yep I can see that-
but the (over)designer in me

that should do the job
IMO, your instructor doesn't want to babaysit you like a high school kid - Go thru the tutorials from your SW software and you should know how to finish your HW and let us know if you're going to get an "A" for this
Good chance you'll be able to sell your grades
You have a couple of options and I've got a kid in engineering school so I'll tell you what I told her: "You won't learn ANYTHING if you get someone else to just give you the answer."
If your teacher sucks then deal with it! I'm a bit tired and cranky so it is easy to just say this. You have already put more effort into creating an account on this forum and asking the question then you have in actually investing in finding out how to do it. Now, with that scolding over you need to follow Christian Chu's advice and go through the tutorials. I think you'll find your answer in the very first session.
