Adding Design Constraint Reference Information to Gauge Tables

Question asked by Derek Coller on Feb 23, 2017

Is there any way to add reference information to gauge tables other than the standard gauge thickness and radii?

What I'm interested in is being able to add supplementary reference info for each thickness/bend radius such as minimum bend to edge length, maximum bend length / tons per linear foot required for bending, etc. The idea would be to help users decide the appropriate radius to select for a particular part design based on available machining capabilities (die sizes, etc).

The only way I can think to make something like this work is to add it to the "Gauge No" naming convention which is OK but doesn't provide the cleanest presentation.

I'm guessing something like this would be an enhancement request but I wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone knew of any other ideas.

Thanks!
