I created this part and created the design table with it.
Now, I can't access the design table at all.
It is telling me that I have insufficient memory to access it.
I know that this isn't the reason because:
1) I have another part with a larger design table that I can access easily.
2) There is no memory spike when I try to access it. Barely 1/3 of my memory is being utilized.
This was made in SW 2015 SP5 btw.
I just checked the Knowledge Base and there's quite a few entries about that problem. Maybe one of them will help you?
Yes, I checked, and pretty much the only thing that matches the issue that I have says that the solution is to delete and recreate. *sigh*

If you delete the design table you don't lose the configurations.
Auto-Create New Design Table with out a problem.
When I went to Edit the Design Table this message displayed
It didn't matter if I enabled or disabled the Table would still open

You are correct, however, I have a LOT of calculations going on in the excel spreadsheet and if I delete it, then I essentially lose it all.
I have fixed the issue, but I had to essentially recreate all the data and split the part into pieces so that the number of configurations was less than 100.
As a means to diagnose the problem can you export the DT or save it out to a separate spreadsheet file? If you can do this then you might be able to look at what's in the DT without having it actually open. Perhaps, just perhaps, you can spot something amiss.
Even if you cannot spot something wrong you would have a backup version so you could delete your DT and then recreate it, copying in from the separate version any special equations or spreadsheet logic you might have had.
No, I can't open it, save it or export it. They all give the same error.

I am in the process of re-creating it, it was just a bunch of hours that I was trying to save if someone knew more than I did about the issue. *grin*
It really saddens me how flaky this is. I created 10 different parts, each with their own design table, (each was a save as of the last) and 2 of them got corrupted. I am not sure what I did. But it definitely wasn't something that the average person using design tables wouldn't do. At least I am pretty sure of that.

Your VAR should be well equipped to assess the problem and either fix it or elevate it to SWX. This needs to be fixed or at least the cause identified so you can avoid it in the future.
I sent the offending file to my VAR. I guess I didn't TRY to give it to them. I gave it to them. LOL

Anyway, I have not heard a response yet.
Sometimes, when I contact them, they amaze me by how much knowledge they have.
And sometimes, I suspect that they put 1st year college students with no experience on the line.
I am not picking on them, its just that, every once in a while (yesterday), I chat with a rep that has no idea what a configuration is and I have to explain it to them as if they are right out of high school.
My only hope that is that person was just the middle man and it is being pushed up the ladder somewhere.

It is comforting to know the folks at your VAR have some hard core experience (mine do), and discouraging to find out they don't know what an extrude cut is.
It all depends on who I happen to get when I chat/call in. LOL There are a couple that I know by name that I try to get every time. But I can't always have my cake and eat it too.
Tip: Get the extensions of the ones at your VAR that you want to reach and then dial them directly. Alternatively, ask for them by name; insist on talking to the ones you want. You are paying the subscription fee and that carries with it an expectation of your satisfaction.
You can have your cake and eat it too. Unless that cake is SWX2017!
Also, I see that you are on SWX2015. Even though 2017 is the current release, a well-defined (repeatable and stubborn) problem from an older version can still help the development guys. Sometimes it reveals a flaw they still haven't properly addressed in the current version. Conversely, sometimes it can be a test case to verify that they have indeed fixed "the problem" in the current version.
Get it to your VAR and if they can't tell you what the heck is going on then press them to send it to corporate.
What version of excel do you have?
OK good deal. I don't know what is causing the memory error, just checking to make sure it wasn't related to the excel version errors.

Tom Gagnon I used to get this same error, but haven't for a few years now. I don't know for sure what I did to resolve it, but I think it was closing and reopening SWX.
