I'm having trouble with a few PC's crashing out of edwgs 2009
whenever they try to print. We have the internet blocked for most
users in our production facility and I'm curious if that is the
culprit.
Anyone else seeing a crash problem with edwg 2009.
Edwgs 2007, 2008 had no problems with this issue.

I saw an earlier thread called "eDrawings-Can you block the internet?"
where they edited the regestry settings to stop the RSS feed.
Since most of my crash issues have been occuring to the users with limited
internet capabilities I decided to try this. So far I haven't had any problems with crashes since I edited those settings.
Good luck.
My reseller has forwarded the issue to SolidWorks. It can be worked around using PDFs but clearly this is not ideal.
* I tried to upload it, but the forum client said .edrw is not a permitted file type. (oh well).
It's taking forever to load and it's crashing on print because it's sending enormous spool files to the printer. I had one that was 8.88 mb spool file size if I printed from SolidWorks, but was 330mb spool file size from edrawings... and that's one that would print! Took it like 20 minutes to do it though. I can only imagine how much data it was trying to send for more detailed drawings.
Thanks for the info. I never looked at the spool file.
I'll download the SP and try that.
I don't like the way Solidworks names the edwgs download file
"edwgsfullenglish.exe". It's the same file name regardless of version
number. It would be better if they added a suffix to the file name indicating
the version.
