is it possible in Solidworks to drag construction plane via mouse during its construction?
Notice that the plane is not defined. If you cannot move your 3d plane then there is something wrong with your mouse, or maybe your plane is defined. Unfortunately I cannot show you how the cursor looks with a screenshot but when you hover over the edge of the plane, while editing, you will see a funny looking cross. When you see it you can drag it. I'm sure if you look in help-plane properties property manager you will get some valuable info.
Just try it. If works it means possible if not - not.
Ivan,,, try playing around with a 3D sketch plane and see if that is what your are looking to do. You can edit it, drag it, rotate and so on.
Thank you Dennis!!I can not move plane via mouse in Solidworks 2016(so is the answer "NO"? (plane offset can be set only in PropertyManager)
Dennis, thank you again, I hardly tried but all in vain.
1) I create new part
2) Select Top plane
3) Run ReferenceGeometry->Plane
and I can not do Any changes via mouse in graphic area.
Mouse looks ok, may be it is due to wrong configs I do not know (
try holding down the control key and then drag it with the mouse.
Thank you Dennis!I've got what you ment.Really: if we have a Plane in scene and we drug it by mouse we create a new Plane and on this step we can locate it via mouse.interestingly is it the only one scenario where we can drug Plane by mouse
