Hi,
I've been defining a part with MBD by using plus/minus dimensioning.
I've created an isometric view with some general notes:
- Global and local surface finish
- General tolerances standard
- Undimensioned chamfers value
- Undimensioned fillets value
I've created a surface finish symbol for local surface finish.
In order to reference all surfaces that will have Ra 3,2 surface finish I had to drag surface finish arrow pointer and snap it to every surface. That should be done for both pockets.
Is there a quicker way to define those surface finishes in MBD ?
I tried to create a collection for all pocket surfaces but it seems that surface finish symbol ignores those colletions.
In attach is my part.
Thanks.
Alex
Thanks, Alex.
Surface finishes today are not part of the DimXpert scheme, so they can't reuse the DimXpert feature collections yet. This is an area we are looking into.
Your approach of multiple leader lines works. It is more friendly to printouts where digital cross highlighting doesn't work.
