I have a curved sail that I created in sheet metal. My questions is can I change the bending point to the middle. The way I have it now it bends from a corner.
Another question I have is when I created this sail I drew to curves one on top and the other on bottom and then used the sheet metal lofted-bend to make it a one solid part. Does any one know if this sail can be done using just one curve? Thank you.
unless he is looking for a flat pattern to cut the sail from. I am not thinking of a better way to do it than you have. but I don't get into something like this often.

I tried using a surface sweep, but because the top curve is longer than the bottom one it wouldn't sweep outward, or maybe I'm not doing it right, thanks.
I've got to admit, this is a tough one Diego. I absolutely see no problem with the way you have it. Why do you want it to flatten\bend from the center? There really is nothing wrong with the way you have it now in my opinion. Flattening/Bending from the edge. But if you really, really need it to flatten from the center this is the only thing I could come up with.
The rib in the center with the flat face is the smallest I could make it and have the loft still work. You must use a loft for this no matter what since the arcs are not the same radius (top and bottom). You have elected to use the "formed option" (which is how I would make it too) and you have what is called "freeform bends" since the radius is not uniform.
I have attached a file (your file) and both parts can flatten individually.
Edit:... Correction... I suppose you could use a Swept Flange also.
I don't think you need sheet metal for this. just do a surface sweep with guide curves to get the shape you want
