I have been able to apply a decal no issue before.. however, this time, it is doing this funky thing. Any idea what this is and how to solve it? Both decals are transparent PNGs. Thanks in advance for the help!
Not so much success:
Also, I tried the first decal (7) again and got similar results.
You must have and old decal link in your model???
You can also control decals in configuartions??
Failing that remove all decals, and make new ones from scratch and re-apply them.
Don't have any other decals applied. Only the one I'm trying to use.
There has to be one somewhere, has it been applied at part level, further down the tree??
Hi Rey ,
looks like the second decal has a bit to much background taken out but both alphas seem to be working fine. is that the issue you are talking about?....sorry its early.
This is the same model I used to generate the first rendering (with the number 7). Once I generated te first rendering, I never saved the model, and thus the decal never saved. The second rendering yields those results, and even when I get rid of the Cupid decal and try the 7 decal again, it yields similar results. There are no other decals anywhere on this model.
are your graphics drivers up to date???
Yes they are.
Granted, my NVIDIA card isn't a SW approved one, but I've never had an issue.
try a work around???
Cut an area into the door to much the faulty decal, create a new infill body with out the polished metal effect, apply the decal to that.
bit of a ball-ache I know, but that would be my next step.
I don't think it has to do with the appearance either... I deleted the appearance and applied the same appearance I used in the rendering with the 7 and it still did it. It is driving me crazy. I could just start from scratch again, with a clean model, but then I won't ever know what caused this and how to fix it in case it happens again.
Also, for what it's worth, I tried applying both decals to the default Camaro project, and it worked perfectly fine. So I know the issue isn't with the decal itself, but rather something else.
have you tagged the photoview or visualize groups in this thread.
am sure somebody looking at that will knoa laot more??
If you are willing, could you please upload the .svpj and the decal. png to this forum thread? Then we could take a look at it. Thanks.
It is a massive file!
(..am I dreaming this...?) I thought there was a share or collaboration option within Visualize?
No way to currently send files to another Visualize user from within the Visualize app...but nice feature request
well, not the whole data set (>100megs?)... I meant a reasonable way to view/collaborate, over the cloud.. you see/edit what he sees/edits within Visualize using his dataset...
so.. yeah if not,... then, via remote access,.. (goto, webex, skype, join.me, bluejeans,..)
You could private message me and then send me a DropBox link.
Is this done in SW Visualize? that hot rod looks hot!!
Yes! The rendering was anyway. The model was modeled by Stephan Tobias and downloaded from GrabCAD.
