hello all, I hope I can make sense, I would like to save an existing assembly and its parts as different files and not be linked to the originals, so I can scale up all the individual parts by 20% and hopefully have a new assembly that is 20% larger and also not effected the originals. can I do this without saving each part individually and scaling them all up and having to mate it all again? Please help
will you scale all the hole sizes + fittings ? it never works that easy.
you can do that with Pack&Go, but I would doubt it will work without errors
Major errors in assembly, when scaling up the parts looks like I may have to assemble it from scratch at least I have all my parts scaled up 20% using PACK and GO and the scale feature, So thanks guys just a shame the assembly didn't magically appear with no errors aha! Grrrr
You can have Parametric Assemblies, however your design intent needs to start with that in mind.. Learning the ability of SW and applying proper design intent can be a huge challenge and 80% or more issues can be diagnosed to user training etc...
Not that you need to, nor do I care if you apply it or not, but if you want good solid models then see the attached..
