Our cutting-edge, metal manufacturing company with a 69 year history of providing quality precision metal fabricating is seeking a Solidworks CAD/CAM Designer for a long-term position.
This individual will support a fast paced, high-energy 3-axis laser cutting and precision forming environment that sees a wide variety of projects.

This position includes a high level of interaction with plant floor personnel and close collaboration with fellow employees and customers supporting multiple industries.
Our CAD/CAM Solidworks Designers work from drawings, sketches, blueprints, customer's Solidworks files or Autocad files.
Must be able to modify existing drawings as well as create new drawings when necessary in a timely fashion.
Our Designer uses numerical control program to control contour path of laser machine to cut metal parts.

Qualifications & Experience:
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Minimum of three years experience working with solid modeling software such as Solidworks, Autocad 2D or Autodesk Inventor as well as solid experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook email. Proficiency in Solidworks is preferred
If you have actual work experience using the Solidworks Sheet Metal function, and a strong attention to detail and a high accuracy in your drawings, you are one step ahead!
This is an onsite position – not available for offsite work
An Associates or higher degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design is preferred.
This position requires an individual with a strong work ethic who is self-motivated and self-sufficient.
Due to the high degree of precision required by many of our customers, there is a necessity for a CAD/CAM Designer who has strong math skills and excellent knowledge of drafting standards.
Successful candidates should provide a proven record of education and experience, and be able to demonstrate their capabilities in the interview process.
Must have own reliable transportation and pass a pre-employment Drug Test and physical.
Our designer must be available to work Saturday hours, if needed.
