Chika, you can try the command "DATALINK" and see if it gets you anywhere. I use that command for linking to excel spreadsheets but I do not know if it will work regarding electrical schematics. We use it for spreadsheets and BOM's all the time though.

Is it possible to convert the Mtext in wiring diagram to excel spreadsheet so that engineer can manipulate the data on the speadsheet? Current there is no relationship between cad data and excel document....Thank you all

Shaking the dust off here. I think you can copy and past mtext out into excel change it and copy and paste back into Autocad, but not like linking in Solidworks.

Datalink works from Excel to autocad. I am indeed looking for the other way around. I google and found autocad has a add on software to do that. Thank you
