Pack and Go with external equation txt file

Right now I have an assembly with part dimensions linked to an external equation text file. I'm trying to duplicate the entire assembly including the equation file and part references to this new file. No matter how I do this, each part within the assembly remains linked to the original equation file, not the new one that was created with the pack and go feature. I have also tried saving the assembly as a copy from solidworks, simply copying the folder outside of solidworks explorer, and some other seemingly wacky ideas found through futile searchs of the internet. Though still no luck. I feel as though the feature I am looking for has to exist though I cannot for the life of me find it! Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

I did find a similar question posted a few years back, though it went unresolved -

Linking External Equation File in Pack and Go Assembly

I'm trying this on a computer running Solidworks 2013 if that is of any help.

Many Thanks!
