I added Boss extrude and fillet on the wrong side, The long arm should be on the left and short should be on the right. Is there a way to flip the feature without redo the whole thing?
You are genius! It works! Thank you
You can use the Mirror Part tool.
Another option would be to flip the extrude direction. but that would not save the fillet, I don't think.
If you do this don't forget to add the material thickness.
Another option would be to keep the sketch but delete the feature. Then you could start a new sketch on the other side and "convert entitys" of the first sketch on the second side. Then do you r extrude there, but you would definitely loose your fillet. I have no experience with the mirror part tool in this situation so it might be the best option.
I can't delete the other side after using mirror. I recreated it. It is ok now. Thanks
Delete extrude cut feature
sketch will remain in tree (don't delete)
Start a sketch on correct side
You could right click on the sketch and select edit sketch plan, then pick the opposite face, then click on the boss extrude, pick edit feature, then tell it to reverse direction.
Flip your extrude directions, change sketch planes if necessary.
You could also mirror the part body, don't merge, then just delete the original body.
I tried changing the direction of the extrude but it didn't turn out the way I want because of the shell. Using Rick's method works. Thank you
You can click the box that says "Break link to original part". Then you can delete the other side. I think this was what you were concerned with. Also, the features and sketches are still editable, so you can make changes as desired down the road.
Plus...you made your reply as the "Correct Answer"? :-)
Do you mind showing me where you see "Break link to original part?" Thanks
It is Friday. one easily loose direction.
Chika - I'm pretty sure that option is presented during the "Mirror Part" process.
