Any of you SDRC veterans who have been using SW for a while might list helpful hints in this thread for those who are just coming over.

For me, the thing I missed most when I started using SW was having branches in the feature tree. In Ideas, you could start a new bit of a model any time you liked, adding a few fetaures to it and then adding or subtracting it from the main model. SolidWorks, on the other hand, appeared to work only along a single line, like a trunk with no branches. It seemed you could only make one move at a time.

It took a while before I appreciated the fact that multi-body modeling would do the same thing. Turning off that "Merge Result" checkbox when you do an extrude, for instance, gets you what is in effect a branch in the model tree. In fact, it works a whole lot better.
