Is there a way to align sketch dimensions with each other (arrow tip to arrow tip) and lock them that way so that if you drag one dimension, the whole string drags with it?

You need to go to SOLIDWORKS Knowledge Base, search for the SPR and then vote for it.

That's a good point Rick. While I can say I've always taken pride in my drawings I cannot say the same for my sketches. MBD will certainly add a new level of detail to the way things are designed/built and the forethought required may be insurmountable in my case ... j/k
The way I construct/dimension geometry in order to build a model is mostly/always different from the dimensions I want on a paper print for inspectors to use to confirm conformance and to express form/fit/function.
It will be a Very long row to hoe for me.
