Any type of file can be saved and managed in a PDM vault to a degree, in terms of check in/ check out, or moving files through a workflow etc.
However, for certain file types, PDM has additional integrations and plugins as well as preview support for example with SolidWorks files, Autodesk Inventor, Autocad, ProEngineer/Creo and Microsoft Office.
As for your specific case, I would imagine that Eplan files can be saved and checked in to the PDM vault with no issues, I don't think there is any particular plugin for EPLAN however.
Hello, you won't be able to preview Eplan files in PDM Professional (I don't believe), you will definitely be able to control revision by using the workflow.
