Problem with Changes in Animation

I had created an animation that worked fine. I made some changes to the model and now some of my assemblies in the Motion Study are not in the correct location during playback.

These assemblies are actually part of a circular pattern. At first they are hidden. I then show the first assembly (it is the one in the correct position), I then go around showing the individual assemblies of the pattern. This show the sequence that the assemblies are to constructed. But when each assembly of the pattern shows, it is not in the correct position.

When I switch back to the Model, everything's fine.

Any Ideas?

What types of changes did you make to the models? I assume you don't think these changes should've effected the animation. When you went back to the motion manager, did you get any error messages? Did you hit the button to re-calculate the motion study before running it after your model changes? Were your individual parts fully defined in the assembly, so they wouldn't change position? Did a mate in the motion study get suppressed that shouldn't have?

What version of SW are you using?

Sorry for all the random questions, but it's pretty hard to guess when you don't have the assembly in front of you.

I did make some mate changes in the sub assembly, but not in the top assembly. There were no error messages when I went back into Motion Manager and I did recalculate. The original sub assembly is fully defined, but the sub assemblies in the circular pattern are not solved ((?) in feature tree). No mates in the motion manager got surpressed.

  If the sub assemblies were not fully solved, that seems like an area to investigate. Something else to try is a control-q, this is a different rebuild than the stoplight. I would use a control-q before setting up any animation, and possibly turn on 'verification on rebuild'. Just trying to cover the bases before animating.
  
  Animating in SW can sometimes be frustrating, I've had similar problems, and end up changing my mating scheme, sometimes removing mates and giving more freedom, to get animations to come out correclty.
