hello everyone
I couldn't find size 16" and 18" pipes and fittings in solidworks design library and I was adviced I should add them to the design table for each fitting so they would be included in the design library for future use, and that's what I had done, except for it keeps repeating this silly error (please find attached screenshot)
No i did not use RCwiz at all? I didnt know i have to, i just opened the library part, then opened the design table and added a new row with 18" size schedule 40 with the necessary dimensions, and after i am done i saved the table and solidworks told me that a new configuration has been added successfully, and it was there in the configuration list , but when i start routing i always get this stupid message as if i've done nothing, please can you tell me how to add the new configuration in RCwiz?
For your information : if you didn't remove or add features to a part but solely altered the value in an existing colomn or added a row (and filled it out completely) in an existing design table then the RCwiz won't do much.
I didn't add any feature, all i did was adding new rows and filling them with standard data from asme 16.9 and nothing seem to be wrong until i received this error
*nod* that's why I suspect that the data you entered in the design tables of the pipe and the fitting aren't aligned with each other. In other words that there is a fault in the data you entered. Something that makes that the fitting isn't recognized as valid by the pipe, at least not in that size.
If and when you find it, do please mark the question as answered and what led you to the solution.

Have you tried it since altering those colomns to Schedule 40?
The screenshots don't show anything that stands out as wrong.

Did you also add the necessary info to the designtable in the pipe?
Specifically, did you add Schedule 160 in the '$prp@Specification' column for the appropriate size ?
I added the new configration in pipes too but shecdule 40 not 160, does it have to be 160??
Sorry, I meant the schedule that the elbow is in, so in your case schedule 40.
If you can, please attach the pipe and the elbow that you now have so that we can actual take a look in detail.

you can name it Sch40 all you want but if later on it states that it's Schedule 160 well yes then either you change those to 40 or you change the pipe '$prp@Specification' to 160.
After adding new size configuration, did you re-add the component to the Routing Library by using the Routing Components Wizard? It should pass its criteria easily because it should already be fully defined as required.
Also, simple question here, do you have any of the RPoint or CPoints, or other required routing definitions asked for by the RCWiz, suppressed in this new configuration? They need to be present for all configs, and individually assigned per config. If nothing else, running it through the RCWiz will help illustrate what is missing, if there are any needed items missing.
Routing sure is picky. Sometimes I give up and start over, though I'm not necessarily suggesting that for you.
