Circular Pattern of slot and hole were obtained by using Circular Pattern tool. Whether you use 360° or 180° result is same. How can this be explained? Part file is attached.
Such a conundrum Maha. When the angle is 360, SolidWorks divides the angle by the number of instances. When the angle is less than 360, SolidWorks divides the angle by number of instances - 1. So for 360 : 360/2 = 180 For 180: 180/(2-1) = 180. Try putting in 359 and see what you get; maybe it will make sense then.
Remove the "Equal Spacing" and then try with 180° and 360°. While 180° would work but 360° would fail because in this case, the selected feature would come on same positions (180° +180° = 360°).
I use 2016-2017 student edition. If I remove "Equal Spacing" automatically it change into 180°. I think SW is programmed in such away.
