Hey all,

I'm new to the forum so please let me know if this is an incorrect question or posted in the wrong place.

I have a CT scan of a joint in the body, and I've extracted the two faces of the joint shown below:

My goal is to create a solid 3D object between these two surfaces and I can't figure out the proper method. Both the surfaces import as surface objects in solidworks:

I've attempted the following already:

+ Insert a plane between them, sketch a circle, extrude circle through midplane past both surfaces, perform intersect operation on extruded circle and surfaces

--- result was solidworks hanging for 4+ hours attempting to perform the operation (surface must be too complex)

+Insert a plane between the surfaces, sketch a circle, perform extrude operation and in doing so select extrude up to or extrude from surface, neither combination of these options properly extruded.

Any help is much appreciated! I'm open to completely new ideas.
