Hi,
I have a model that includes several ball joints. In practice, there will be very little rotation of these ball joints, so I modeled it as being completely rigid, but this caused excessive stress on the ball joint where the shaft meets the ball.
I want to allow rotation between the ball joint and the clevis that holds it, but I can't find an appropriate solution. What should I use?
I've attached a cross section of on of the ball joint assemblies, showing the ball joint and the clevis bolt shaft (these are the two parts that should be allowed to rotate relative to each other). Also, I have an older version of the ball joint/clevis assembly, in case that helps anyone.
Thanks,
Christopher
