Me and my friend are making a project in solidworks, and we want to ask which material is the best for hand trucks?we need it to be metalic, cheap, not to heavy and relatively strong.
waiting for your help.

Aluminum or Steel will be your most likely choices. Aluminum is much lighter but more expensive, steel is cheap, but heavier.
Depends on your usage, could be aluminum or steel.
Actually a popular brand is Magliner, and as the name implies the frame is magnesium.
I personally would go with aluminum because it is much lighter than steel. Take a look at 80/20 to possibly make it out of. It is strong and really easy to use. You can even download their entire extrusion shape catalog to use in weldments in SolidWorks.
Aluminum = generally more expensive on the front end
Steel = Less expensive on the front end but then there is metal treatment.(painting/ Powdercoating)
Of course not an issue if you like the rust(ic) look.
Real cheap option would be wood. Unless of course you want to use exotic woods then it would be expensive.
Couldn't resist all of the would/wood references.
