When creating an assembly and its parts for testing generally we give them generic names. When it is time to add them to our database we assign them numbers. The drawings for these parts are already created. Sometimes we rename the part or assembly and save it into our parts database before we do this with the drawings, if you do it this way you will notice that you can reattach the drawing to the part but the part in the drawing you can not. Does anyone know a way I can replace the part/assembly in a drawing while keeping the dimensions? I have thought of doing a save as when I open the file within the drawing but all the parts have had changes made to them for our database and I will lose all the information if I do it this way.
