i was asked to flatten this object so it can be water jetted, but after looking at it and playing with it in sheet metal mode--i'm not sure.
is it something that can be done in solidworks? did i over look something?

i had an similar idea, but i wasn't sure if it needed additional meat if any for the form areas.

SW 2016 allows you to flatten Surface.
it is close, not exact. does not account for deformed material.
Here another way also, it may help. I noticed
that the inside and outside fillets didn't match
material thickness and that would have been
an added problem.
You may need something like Exact Flat
