i am trying to convert step file into solidworks part file but after taking lot of time software gives error"solidworks not responding and crashed...
i have attached the step file given below..!!!
any body help?
I was able to open the file in SW2017.
There were some minor errors.
I did a pack&go of the assembly but the file is 27MB large. This forum has a 25MB limit and it won't let me attach it.
In that case, I'd upload the file to Dropbox or similar, and PM Hashan with the link.
Or Hashan can PM me with a like to his DropBox...
Can you attach as a zip rather than rar (I don't have an rar extractor, but Windows has built in zip).
Here is the original step file...
Try installing "7-Zip" - It's freeware that reads rar as well as zip (among many others)

This isn't my first rodeo.
I never ever install rubbish on my clean SolidWorks machine.
I see your problem.
You need two computers...
BTW That is what my setup is and I use Mouse Without Borders.

I have always had more than two for 30yrs.
I do have a back-up with DeepFreeze installed (returns to my set-up at each reboot) for testing stuff that I don't trust.
I actually have three computers. The third is old and running Windows-XP. I access it via a KVM switch.
hmm?,.... 7-Zip is not rubbish.
Do you have a stake in the 7-Zip software?
One man's rubbish is another man's treasure...
Rick... None. and, it's open source.,.. the risk..... not understanding? (seems to be a theme in western politics lately)
I'm trying to recall how long I've used it (at least >10yrs?) and I've never had problems with it and it's been extremely consistent,... especially with cross platform data.. and some of my past TAR data and compression data which I used on very old 3D software.

..anyway.. Igor Pavlov dedication kicks arse!
Igor is RUSSIAN!!!
..LOL,.. and he probably works directly for Putin... and, the many Russian programmers who have written code for 3D programs we all use today.
Try the attached file.
..here's a native parasolid of the pcba... (has some problems with pins which were facetted?)
Thanks all of you...!!!!
