I had a macro that would export all of the sheet metal parts in an assembly to folders created by the macro sorted by thickness in the flat pattern state. Since loading 2017 it no longer works. Does anyone have something that will work with 2017?
I see no issues with the codes. So my suggestion would be to try ExportToDWG2 instead of ExportFlatPatternView
ExportToDWG2 let you define various options while exporting the DXF/DWG.
Can you share the macro and someone can look at it and can try to update/fix it.
I added the macro to my post.
Here is the updated macro working on 2017 (I've tested it)
I just updated the reference to 2017 from older version, like shown in this video Fix-Update SOLIDWORKS Macro References
I saved the macro and ran it, all I get in my dxf is the bend lines. No flat pattern....
Works perfect for me. Can you upload some sample files? Also what is your current SP on 2017?
here is a part and how it exported. we are running SP 1.0
Here is how it got it
well that would be correct, but all I get is the dashed bend lines when I export using the macro. works fine if I export manually
it turns out I have issues with the install of 17, needed to wipe it out and re-install. the Macro works just fine. Sorry for the confusion!! appreciate the feed back.
Thanks for the macro!! Is there any way to show bend line notes in the dxf?
This will allow you to set the bend notes, see here: 2015 SOLIDWORKS API Help - Document Properties > Sheet Metal
IModelDocExtension::SetUserPreferenceToggle(swUserPreferenceToggle_e.swShowSheetMetalBendNotes, swUserPreferenceOption_e.swDetailingNoOptionSpecified, <Value>)
We use a macro we found on this forum to create a parameter called "AutoQty" in each indivual part.
I have been trying to get this macro to include that parameter in the dxf filename without success.
Anyone can help?
Thank in advance
