In Solidworks 2017, you can no longer change the appearance of a part (in assembly) while in section view.  This is a huge pain, as I typically created renderings of section parts/assemblies.  I have to un-section and select parts in the tree to individually change each appearance.  In 2016, I would click the part, edit appearance, and then click the 10-15 other internal parts that happened to be the same type.
