I do not have any official documentation on this but from what I have observed is this: 2017.1 (Release.ServicePack).
Currently the most recent version is: SolidWorks 2017 and the service pack is: 1

I do not find - a tab to check for updates in my version 2017-03.
Perhaps you have older version where this shows?
The Customer Portal should show the latest version of all Solidworks products.
It is on the top of your screen.
