This is a WORD question, I think.  But, it is also an
EPDM question

I am using a EPDM template for users to add text that will
be transferred to a WORD document.  I have checked in WORD to learn if
there is a way to limit the maximum number of characters and/or state the
allowed number of characters in any one field.  I found nothing.

So, in EPDM, I limit the maximum number of characters to
1000, which was specified by those who asked me to make the EPDM template and
WORD form.  This works pretty good.  Users may not enter more than
1000 characters in the EPDM template.  However, when we get to the WORD
document all 1000 characters are not being permitted in the appropriate
field.  The result is that not all of a user’s entry gets applied to the
WORD document.

In WORD, have you come across any way to control the
character count in a document field?  In my situation I want WORD to
permit whatever it receives from the EPDM template being sent to the WORD
custom property.
