Costing - Sheet Metal Template for Non-Sheet Metal Part

At my work, we have a CNC sheet metal punch that we use for anything that is less than ~3/16 thick aluminum regardless of whether or not it will have bends in it. From the modeling perspective, for the flat plates, we general model the parts as a simple boss extrude and then add whatever holes/features after that. When we do this, we do not use the sheet metal "Base Flange/Tab" feature and so to do the SW costing, the sheet metal template is not available (as the sheet metal feature was not used). To use the "Convert to Sheet Metal" feature, it allows me to use the sheet metal template, but then the information from some features like the hole wizard goes away. Is there a way to force it to use the sheet metal template when creating a plate with the boss extrude?
