What version and SP of SolidWorks are you using?
Not sure what is happening, but it is helpful to know what flavor of SW you are using.
Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing too?

I am using SW 2009 SP1.0
It did this in 2007 also, however in 2007 I was able to back space the > at the end of "hw-descrp> and add it back in and the space would go away. Now that is not the case.

Hole callout (primarily for clearance holes) when right justified there is a space (or even 2) after the >.
hehe...guess what, somebody from SW must have read this, cuz in 2010 SP4.0 fixed this problem, no more space.
Gee they finally did something to fix a problem. Now if they could just fix the stupid * (asterics) in a balloon then we might be getting somewhere.
