I have a group that can delete files. But one user is acting up and I've been asked to remove that persons ability to delete files. What's the best way to achieve this? Thank you.
The best way is to remove the user who is "acting up".
If you don't want to be that drastic, make a new group without the delete rights, and move them to the new group.
One directory? or One Volume? or One server?
What level of restriction are you looking for?
In Windows, look at the security tab in Properties and you will see users. Remove the group access and add each user individually granting full control to all except for the guy in question.
