Uninstalling SolidWorks 2009

Hello Ladies and Gents,

I am going to uninstall SW09 and re-install it because I made the classic idiot mistake of upgrading rather than fresh installing... Before I do so, do I need to back up any existing template files, or will the uninstall keep them on the system to be recognized by the new installation?

It's always good to make a backup. Just in case.

it depends on if you made any changes. If you saved changed templates, copy them out before the uninstall.

Okay... one more thing on this... is there ANY way to convert ALL files to 2009 format at once, or do I have to keep on going through every one of them individually???

yes, you can use the SolidWorks task scheduler to convert all files.
