I'm trying to find the best OS+SW combination based on my specs:
CPU: C2D 6400 @ 2.13
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-945P-S3
RAM: 4GB (1GBx4 800Mhz)
Display: ATI FireGL V3400
HD1: 500GB 7200 32mb
HD2: 250GB 7200 16mb
for that pc setup (considering that i cannot replace parts ... money issues)
what would you recommend for best preformance
XP32 / XP64 / Vista32 / Vista64
combined with ..
SW 2007 / SW 2008 (and wich SP would you reccomend)

If at all possible get a faster CPU then the E6400. The C2D is fine, just get the fastest CPU you can afford. SW benefits greatly from a higher Ghz CPU.
