Configs in eDrawings

I have an assembly in which I have 3 configs, Default, Upper, and Lower.
Default shows everything while Upper shows only the upper components and likewise for Lower. In the Upper and Lower configs , I hid (vs. suppress) components I didn't want to see. This all works as expected. When I saved it as an eDrawing (saving all configs within), there were several issues I can't figure out. First, in the eDrawings tree there are 3 thumbnail icons of each config. The thumbnails look like what the view should be. When I click on any of them, nothing happens. I have to click on Display States to change the view in the graphics window. Second, there are 5 Display States listed, 3 of which show all the components. Also, when I click on the DS that shows the Lower, it looks like it should. But when I click on the other DS for the Upper, there is one component still visible that should be only in the Lower. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm using eDrawings Pro 2008.
