2009 install automatically installs Vista--Unaceptable

Why does the installer start its upgrade for an existing installation on my XP machine by "installing Vista" I see this and I abort the install. Why would this happen and How do I get around it.

Solidworks does not install Vista. Solidworks 2009 will run on Windows XP 32 bit, Windows XP 64 bit, Windows Vista 32 bit, and Windows Vista 64 bit. Make sure you used the correct disk for your install.

I've just finished installing SW09 on a Vista and an XP machine. Neither mentioned anything about the operating system.

A screenshot image would be interesting.

  You are not seeing Vista, SW is installing VSTA. This is Microsoft's Visual Studio Tools for Applications, which will eventually replace VBA.

VSTA confused me at first when I was installing. Far too easy to mistake it but you had to realise it was unlikely that SW2009 would ship with a copy of Windows Vista didn't you?

  Yeah, I loaded 2009 on one machine, and when I saw that come up, I thought it was trying to install the Vista version for a moment and almost cancelled the installation. Way too close...they should have spelled it out in the message box.

I have download and install vista 64bit solidwork 2009 sp0, when I download the software it check my lic number form my lic server and OK, but after install it check lic server and say not compatible need me to upgrade my solid work lic server.
Anything I did wrong, or how can I upgrade my solidwork lic server?
After I upgrade is it still accessable by workstation run solidwork 2008 SP4?

  You need to install new license server software and a new license file for SW2009. This is true for every new release of SW. Your SW2008 installs will work with the SW2009 license server and license file.
  
  You need to find out where your SW license server is installed and have whoever controls that computer to do the license server upgrade.

  It threw me for a loop for a bit when I did my first install of SW2009. If you are not reading the messages carefully it is easy to see Vista instead of VSTA.

    Hi,
    I installed 2009 because later today we have the rollout seminar and I wanted to find any questions to be asked now, instead of after the seminar. But, I get the same message about updating the SNL server. You answer ok to that dialog box and everything goes away. Why doesn't the dialog box give you the option to start in "Trial mode" so I can see what new features 2009 includes for myself, before I try to hunt down our IT person to update the license server software on our server computer, especially for people like me who only, for now, want to see 2009 and try it out??
