Our company requires the use of both SW 2009 and AutoCAD,
2002 I have duel Monitors with SW on the left and AutoCAD running
on the right. Every time I open a CAD drawing SW minimizes on the
screen. Has any one experianced this?
I run dual monitors with SolidWorks on my secondary monitor.
when I switch applications by clicking the program tab in the
windows taskbar, SoliWorks switches to display on my primary
monitor. I then must minimize it and move it back to my secondary
monitor. This is a PITA.
The number one enhancment request for SW 2009 version was "support
for dual monitors". Since you are running 2009 I suggest calling
your VAR and see if they really do support dual monitors
now...
I called but did not recieve much of an answer. We also have
AutoCAD 2009 LT and it seems to have no effect on SW, so there is
something about AutoCAD 2002 that SW 2009 does not like.
I'm really surprised by all this. I've been running 2007 with
MDT 5/ACAD 2000i for years. I put MDT on one monitor and SW on the
other. No problems at all until I run out of memory.
If I have SW open(2009 sp1) and open DWGeditor, SW minimizes
and swaps to my primary monitor. I then have to move it back. Even
after this is done SW will react by going into a cycle flipping
between the same part file.
