I'm no longer able to open a SolidWorks drawing from inside
the PDME explorer interface. I used to be able to double-click and
open. SolidWorks will start, but the file does not open and I'm not
getting any sort of error message. If I'm in SW I can open the
files using the File Open on the menu, just not thru PDM.
I can open other documents.
Update: I cannot open any SW files from inside Windows Explorer inside or outside the PDM vault

If I try opening a file from Windows Explorer that is outside the vault I do get an error: Windows cannot find file
XP64
SW2008 SP5.0
PDMWE 2009
Outlook 2007
I'm Running:
Window XP32 SP 3
Internet Explorer 6
SolidWorks 2007 SP 5
Outlook 2007
I guess the work around is to shut down Outlook for now.
This appears to be a known issue. It happens with many different OSs/hardware settings.
This is discussed in SW knowledgebase article: S-028023 - where several workarounds are listed and a few SPRs too.
For most cases, it appears the easiest workaround is to start SolidWorks before you double click on a file.

its throwing error of permission when opening file
any one faced this type of issue
